What is Child Evangelism Fellowship?
A fellowship of Christians dedicated to the task of winning boys and girls to Christ. CEF® is an international, Bible-centered, faith ministry with its headquarters located in the St. Louis Metropolitan area in Warrenton, Missouri.
When and how was CEF Philippines established?
Two ladies pioneered CEF Philippines in 1952—Miss Ana Danielson from Canada and Miss Mary Dayton from USA. Arriving in Manila in March, they went to Davao and started Good News Classes and teacher training seminars. CEF Philippines was incorporated as an organization in 1973. Today, our national headquarters are located in Valley Golf, Antipolo, Rizal.
What is the purpose of CEF?
To evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local, Bible-believing church for Christian living.
How extensive is the outreach of CEF Philippines?
Organized CEF ministries now exist in 50-plus locations, with over 100 workers and more than 4000 volunteers.
How is the organization of CEF structured?
CEF is incorporated at the national and local levels to provide leadership, training and materials. Most of the work of evangelizing children and training of volunteers is done in the local areas. The local areas work with and through local churches to accomplish this task.
What are CEF’s ministries to children?
The primary outreach ministries to children are the Good News Club and 5-Day Club, which are neighborhood Bible-centered clubs for children ages 5 through 12. Other ministries include Party Clubs, Elementary School Values Education Class, open-air ministry and camps. These clubs are usually taught by volunteers who attend local CEF training classes for instruction, encouragement and inspiration.
