Teaching Children Effectively™
The Teaching Children Effectively program is designed to train thousands of children’s workers to evangelize and disciple children in their communities, public schools, and local church. The training is systematic and progressive in nature, allowing the student to advance from one level to the next.
TCE™ Level 1 is designed to offer a fresh approach to evangelizing and teaching children. TCE Level 2 is designed to provide information and practical methods which will enable the student to effectively guide the saved child in progressive spiritual growth.
Teaching Children Effectively (TCE) Level 1
Based on spiritual and educational principles, the TCE Level 1 course provides the methods and procedures to lead children to Christ and immediately equips the believer to begin and sustain a ministry where he lives. Student practicums are a vital part of the instructional procedure which makes TCE a refreshing way to train Christians in child evangelism.
Course Objectives
To provide each student with:
- Increased knowledge about the spiritual needs of children
- Effective methods of evangelism
- Basic skills for organizing and conducting productive children’s Bible classes
- Practical ideas which make learning enjoyable for boys and girl
Instructors
All course instructors specialize in children’s ministry and are trained and certified by CEF.

Course Length
1 Week (33 hours)
Course Prerequisites
To enroll in TCE Level 1 you must be:
- A born-again Christian
- At least 15 years of age
- Willing to participate in all class activities including practicum sessions
Certificate
A certificate will be awarded by Children Ministries Institute (CMI) to all who successfully complete the course.
Cost
A nominal fee covering all materials is charged.
Teaching Children Effectively (TCE) Level 2
TCE 2 is centered on the principle that true teaching of the Word of God produces change. It is designed to enable believers to effectively guide saved children in their walk with the Lord. Based on spiritual and educational principles, the course builds on things learned in Level 1 and provides practical methods for discipling boys and girls.
Course Objectives
To provide each student with:
- Effective methods of communicating spiritual truths to children
- Basic helps and teaching tools for guiding saved children in the systematic process of spiritual growth
- Practical ideas for enriching the progressive development of Christian character

All course instructors specialize in children’s ministry and are trained and certified by CEF Inc.
